The Wise Decision Health Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit. Help us expand access to wellness and care for those who need it most.
About Us
The Wise Decision Foundation was born from a deep understanding of what underserved communities in Detroit truly need — access to fitness, mental health support, and dignified care. Co-founded by Sterling Wise, a seasoned strength and conditioning coach, and Dr. Kamelia L. Wise, a licensed physical therapist, the Foundation was built from over 40 years of combined professional experience and lived commitment to service.
What began as a small initiative to provide affordable training to student-athletes has grown into a bold mission to bridge the health equity gap across three underserved populations:
- Inner-city youth needing access to elite-level sports training
- Adults with mental illness and developmental disabilities seeking holistic wellness and social connection
- Elderly and disabled individuals desiring to remain independent in their own homes
At The Wise Decision Foundation, we believe wellness is a right, not a privilege. We are committed to building healthier lives and stronger communities—one person, one program, and one neighborhood at a time.
